Having stolen a necklace, Walter, a young hoodlum, and his accomplice Francesca, mix with a convoy of women workers bound for the rice paddies. Recognized by police, Walter must hide while Francesca manages to pass for one of these women on their way to work. But, unfortunately for her and for Walter, one of the workers gets interested in their story.
